Why Is Instagram's Profile Picture So Small?
Instagram compresses profile pictures to around 150×150 pixels in its app. However, Instagram actually stores a much larger version on its CDN. IGFB fetches the full-size version — typically 320×320 pixels or higher — giving you noticeably better quality than any screenshot.
